Students must pass the comprehensive exam before starting their thesis. If students fail the comprehensive exam, they will have one opportunity to retake it after one month.

The following criteria must be met:

  • A Master's degree in a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
  • English proficiency, proven by a valid IELTS score of at least 6.5 or a TOEFL IBT score of 91.
  • A detailed research proposal (1,500-2,000 words) outlining your intended dissertation topic, objectives, research question(s), and methodological approach.
  • Two letters of recommendation (academic or professional).
