Assistant Professor Ts. Dr. Ahmad Nizam Othman is an accomplished academic and industry professional specializing in Animation and 3D Design, with over 20 years of extensive experience in higher education and the Malaysian creative industry. His expertise spans animation, 3D modeling and design, visual communication, new media, graphic design, illustration, digital art, and creative curriculum development, particularly within Malaysia’s academic and professional sectors.

Throughout his distinguished career, he has contributed significantly to the development of creative education, academic leadership, and industry standards. He previously served as Deputy Dean (Academic & International) at the Faculty of Arts, Sustainability and Creative Industry, Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI). In addition, he held important leadership positions as Head of the Creative Multimedia Department and Coordinator of the Animation Program, where he played a vital role in academic planning, curriculum enhancement, and program accreditation.

Dr. Ahmad Nizam earned his PhD in Visual Art & Design (Animation) from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Indonesia, and his Master’s degree in Art & Design (Visual Communication & New Media) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. His professional excellence has been recognized by the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), Creative Content Industry Guild Malaysia (CCIG), and the Malaysian Design Council (MRM). He also served as an Autodesk Ambassador in the Media & Entertainment sector, reflecting his active engagement with global industry standards.

His research interests include 2D and 3D animation, 3D design, visual storytelling, digital culture, character design, semiotics, and Malay cultural heritage. With numerous international certifications in animation, computer graphics, and digital production, Assistant Professor Ts. Dr. Ahmad Nizam Othman continues to make meaningful contributions to the advancement of creative arts education, research, and professional practice both nationally and internationally.
