About the University Logo

The AUE logo is the university's primary visual signature. These guidelines explain how to use it correctly across print, digital and merchandise.

01 · Main logo

The main logo

The main logo consists of two parts: the diamond-shaped icon and the typeface in Latin and Arabic. It exists in four different versions:

Main colored logo with white typography

Main colored logo with black typography

Black & white logo

Golden logo

02 · Size & proportion

Minimum size and aspect ratio

Keep the logo legible and in proportion wherever it appears.

Minimum size

The smallest size the main logo can be reproduced at is 32 mm wide × 14 mm high. Going smaller is highly discouraged to avoid any brand distortion.

Aspect ratio

The main logo is twice as wide as it is high (2 : 1). Always scale it proportionally.

03 · Backgrounds

The logo on backgrounds

The logo color depends on whether it is placed on a dark or a bright background.

On dark backgrounds, always use the logo with white typography (#FFFFFF).

On bright backgrounds, use the logo with black typography.

04 · Incorrect usage

Protect the integrity of the logo

To preserve the integrity of the logo, please avoid any misuse.

✕ Do not stretch the logo.

✕ Do not rotate the logo.

✕ Do not wrap or twist the logo.

✕ Do not use the logo as strokes.

✕ Do not blur the logo.

✕ Do not add a drop shadow.

The logo on backgrounds

✕ Do not use the logo on a background that has one of the colors of the UAE flag (except white).

✕ Do not play with the dimensions of the logo.

✕ Do not use the logo on a background that contains a pattern.

✕ Do not put a white background behind the logo itself, since the logo has no frame.

✕ Do not outline the logo.

✕ Do not use the logo on a gradient background.

✕ Do not use the logo on a background with loud, clashing colors.
