He has dedicated more than fifteen years of his career to university teaching and scientific research. Throughout his career, he has been distinguished by his ability to connect theoretical approaches with the practical study of literary texts, which has enriched students’ learning experiences and deepened their understanding of modern methods of literary analysis.
His research focuses on Arabic literature, the novel, and narrative discourse analysis, and he has contributed academic papers and studies presented at specialized conferences and scholarly forums.
Dr. Omar has also helped develop students’ linguistic and intellectual skills by offering a number of courses that enhance competence in communication and research—most notably, courses in Arabic Communication Skills and Study and Learning Skills.
Dr. Omar Sarhan holds a PhD in Literary and Critical Studies from Al-Wasl University in Dubai, a Master’s degree in Literary and Critical Studies from the World Islamic Sciences and Education University in Amman, and a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language from the University of Basra in Iraq. He has also obtained several international professional certifications, including a Professional Diploma (Certified Trainer / Trainer of Trainers) from the United States, and a Professional Diploma in Assessment from the Gaston Educational Organization (OfQual) in the United Kingdom.
