Last Updated: Nov/17/2025 02:18:54Dr. Mahir AL Bana is an Associate Professor of Public International Law at the American University in the Emirates and the Chair of the Scientific Research Committee. He holds a Ph.D. in Public International Law from the University of Nice-Sofia-Antipolis in southern France.
Dr. Mahir was also the Dean of the College of Law at the American University in the Emirates in 2014 and was appointed as a Program Director for Public Law Department and the Scientific Research Committee several times.
Before joining the American University in the Emirates, Dr. Khalid was an Assistant Professor at Nice Sophia Antipolis University, where he taught Public International Law and Constitutional Law.
He teaches public international law, international organizations, and human rights.
His research area of interest is state concept, international organizations, human rights, sovereignty, climate change, terrorism, nuclear energy, and any other topic related to international law and current world affairs.
